Doug and I have had some roller coaster experiences. I wrote about his new job going out of business one week before we were heading to California for a 10-day vacation/disneyland, beach, etc... http://keepbelievingkb.wordpress.com (this is my cousin and I's spiritual story blog)
Pretty much to sum it up, Doug and I were doing well financially, I was changing jobs, Doug was working lots and we were going to Disneyland! My first time ever going! Doug's job went out of business, but we still went and had the time of our lives! It really is such a magical place.
We have had lots of life questions lately because we don't just want to work our lives away. House? what jobs? kids? how long? how many? etc... We know that the most important thing is to stay close to the spirit and to our elder brother, Jesus Christ. Everyone had their own timeline for life events, but our Lord knows what we want and when we need it! I think that our life is like a climbing wall. Sometimes easy, sometimes hard, sometimes bumpy, and sometimes you can't see around the edge. But it's always doable! And with each chapter that we go through: school, work, kids, aging..... there is always a start and finish. And where the finish ends, a new start begins.
Doug started school a few years ago, and now the finish line is in sight! He will finish next Spring 2015 in Business Management. Hip Hip Hooray!!
We love life and people. Keep smiling and moving forward because sometimes, that's all that we are in control over!
