You really can become more grateful each day!

I had a rad experience this morning! I was working in the office here at Wolverine Crossing, and I have two residents come in that are both in wheel chairs. They were looking around seeing if another building would be suitable for them, so I was walking around with them. One of them even let me hop on the back and catch a ride! It was way fun! We all get talking, and they both told me how they ended up in a wheel chair. One is 30 years old, and he said, "12 years ago, when I was 18, I was diving into a swimming pool. I pulled my neck back, and landed wrong and I have been in a wheel chair even since." The other had a similar story. He was 18 also and was doing a backflip off of a wall and landed wrong. As I listened to them talk to each other about what they missed, what they can't wait to do again, how sometimes they were made fun of, I couldn't help but feel a deep love for both of them. They might not understand exactly why it had to happen to them, but they weren't going to let it hold them back. One is now a motivational speaker, teaching others that no matter the situation, you can ALWAYS be happy! What a great morning! thank you to these 2 people that opened my eyes and helped me realize how very grateful I am for what I do have, what examples to learn from!!!!!!!

Once you start, don't don't stop!!!

I haven't written on my blog for a while, so I decided it'd be a great idea! I am loving life! I am working at UVU being an orientation leader, and at my apartment complex as a Community Ambassador! These jobs rock!!!! I just wanted to share a couple quick things I have learned lately..
I have been doing a challenge! It's called 40 Coming closer to Christ. It is reading the entire Book of Mormon in 40 days! I can't even put into words how much more I understand the stories, the relation of life then and life now, and how much more time I have in my days because I spend the time reading! It's unreal! But so real at the same time :) It becomes easy to be stagnant in life.. Reading, writing in your journal, saying your prayers, what time you wake up, go to sleep, relationships..... but I have learned lately that it's not what we are here for! Life is to progress! To wake up every morning, knowing that you are going to become better than you were yesterday, knowing that you have your friends, family, and mostly the Lord to share your day with! What a wonderful thing!!!
I'm out for the day, but I need to say thank you!! Thank you to my family, for always loving me and never telling me I couldn't do something, Thank you for my friends, for always being there for me, making my laugh, cry, and learn more and more each day! And Thank you Thank you, for Doug.. For always being there, giving anything and everything to me, and loving me no matter if I am happy, sad, awnery, or sleepy! You are the best boyfriend that a girl could ever ask for.. I love you! And most of all, Thank you Thank you Thank you to my Father in Heaven and Christ His Son. I Love you both with all my heart, I will always be your instrument!
